The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) of the United Kingdom and the Science & Technology Development Fund (STDF) of Egypt are pleased to announce a joint call for Research Grant proposals addressing the theme of ‘Cultural Heritage and Development in Egypt’. Funding of up to £350.000 is available per project and awards will be expected to have a maximum duration of 36 months. The aim of this call is to allow researchers from the UK and Egypt to work collaboratively on research projects, which address key challenges related to Egypt’s cultural heritage. More details on thematic focus are available through the call guidance publicized here. A joint proposal should be prepared through the AHRC’s online application system and submitted by both Egyptian and UK PIs to both the AHRC and STDF. The deadline for UK proposals to be submitted to the AHRC is Tuesday 5th September 2017 16:00 BST. Egyptian partner have a little bit more time to allow the online upload to STDF website. Please note that submitted proposals need to be identical. Deadline for Egyptian parent is Saturday 9th September at midnight All information on this call can be found here.
